29 Weeks with Baby #2

We are into our third trimester and I don't know where the time has gone.  With all the holidays and Camber's birthday I can hardly believe it is already the middle of January.  We are getting more and more excited about welcoming our new little one into the family.  Especially after seeing Lori and Bruno with their new little guy born just this weekend.  Camber was so excited to talk about the baby and said he wanted to hold Baby Bane, but when we got down to the hospital he chickened out (both times).  He definitely likes to look at him, see what he is doing, and talk about him.

Camber has just been so sweet lately (well he usually is pretty sweet).  On Saturday morning he woke up about 6:30 and wanted me to lay with him.  He turned and said, "Mama talk." I asked him what he wanted to talk about and he said "talk toys" so we chatted about a few of his favorites.  I asked if he wanted to talk about anything else and he said "talk baby."  We talked about all things baby and he just loved it. Melts my heart, that's for sure.

Camber is an all out daddy's boy! In EVERY sense of the word.  He wants Daddy to play with him; I often hear, "Daddy play, no Mommys allowed."  At bedtime he was Doug to read to him and snuggle him.  He gets excited to see Doug come home.  But lately Camber has been wanting me more, which just makes my day!! He has even yelled "No Daddy" to Doug a few times and has instead wanted me to lay with him.

I have totally just accepted that he is a Daddy's Boy, especially with a new baby coming it's pretty good timing for him to be attached to Doug, but I still love it when he needs his mommy sometimes too.

I have been feeling really good with this pregnancy. Around Thanksgiving I did too much of lifting Camber and housework that I pulled the lower muscle of my stomach which was incredibly painful.  My doctor suggested a pregnancy belt which helped.  I have since been doing lots of stretching and exercises to strengthen the area, but sometimes it hurts if I do too much.

Other than that I really feel great.  I have been sleeping pretty good considering that I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy. I am just trying to enjoy every step of this pregnancy knowing that it might very well be my last.

How Far Along: 29 Weeks
Sleep: With the help of a massive U pillow (and if Doug isn't snoring) I sleep actually pretty good.
Best Moment of the Week: Not necessarily just this week, but I am glad to be feeling good.  Also the nursery is put together (no real changes from Camber's) and I don't have much to do to "get ready."
Miss Anything?: I get so worn out so easily. On Friday Camber and I went to breakfast and then to Target.  After carrying some bins that I bought at Target inside I cleaned out my pantry.  I had planned to go through Camber's toys and organize them, but was just exhausted.  Things are just a little harder with a big belly in the way.
Food Cravings: I was craving a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal around Christmas time. Doug got me a box as one of my presents. After we got back from Chicago I was really wanting some deep dish pizza that we had at Girodano's. We got online and ordered some that we had when my Dad, De, and the girls came for Christmas dinner.  It was so yummy! We still have one in the freezer if any more cravings hit :-)
Labor Signs: I've had quite a few Braxton Hicks and a couple of contractions, but all go away if I just drink a big glass of water.  Nothing to get excited about. And we, of course, don't want to meet this little one yet!
Gender: Doug asked me just the other day if I still thought we were having a girl. I still feel like it's a girl, but told Doug that me thinking that way probably just means boys.  I'll be shocked if it's a boy, but a best friend for Camber would be so much fun.
Looking Forward To: We are doing our first "official meeting" with our Doula, Emily on Tuesday. Although we have met with her before and I have been apart of the "Difficult Birth Group" she leads a few times.  She has been such a help so far answering all my questions that I am excited to just sit and chat about all things baby :-)

Christmas Eve

All ready for Santa with cookies (and carrots for the reindeer)

Daddy and Camber playing with his new tractor.

I told Camber I wanted one family picture and he said "No more pictures"

He is so cute!

And he did end up sitting for one more picture!
