Action Packed Weekends

We have had some fun-filled weekends the last few weeks!  We never have plans going into a weekend, and then by Sunday I am exhausted from all the fun things we do!

A couple weekends ago we started our Saturday morning with breakfast at Mullet's before hitting the downtown Farmer's Market.  He LOVED seeing all the dogs at the Farmer's Market.

Later that day we went to the races in Newtown.  The race didn't start until 8 (which is an hour after his bedtime).  He had taken a great afternoon nap so we decided to go down a little early to see qualifying races and then stay for just a 1/2 hour or so of the actual race.  He loved seeing all the race cars, but his favorite was seeing the tractors that take you to the infield.  He did a great job, although how boring is it to watch a bunch of cars go round and round and round! I think we were in the car and he was asleep by 8:20 :-)

Eating a cheese stick :-)

Oh that face!  What a sass!

Last weekend we went up to Polk City, because we wanted to take Camber to the Castle Park they have up there.  We decided to pack a picnic dinner and head there.  He was a little unsure about the playground at the beginning, because it was so big for him, but he loved it.  We then walked through the beach, and wished we would have brought his digger/sand toys.  We found some geese to watch, which was Camber's favorite.  We sat and ate our picnic and ended the trip with a little walk.

On Sunday, we went out to Panora where we spent the morning with my Dad, De and Connor at the Farm.  Camber was in awe at all of the things to do.  He had so many favorites: the kitty, skid loader, dump truck, lawn mower, golf cart, and even a school bus ride.  He just kept looking,  "ok guys, what's next?"  We ended with a nice lunch and he was out for a great nap!

After nap we took him on his first boat ride of the year.  He didn't like his life jacket any more than last year, but he tolerates it.  My mom was able to go with us on the boat and Camber liked being about to sit with her when we were going fast!  I didn't get any pictures of him sitting with my mom (bummer!)

I was finally done with school on Wednesday, so Thursday and Friday were just spent getting into a routine and doing the normal summer stuff: park, library, playing.
Love my team! Will miss seeing them everyday!

On Friday night we went to a graduation party where they had horses, chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs. Camber was even able to feed carrots to the horses!

Saturday we hung out at home most of the day and then went to dinner with Doug's Grandpa Bob and Lana.

Sunday we took Camber and all of his sand and digger toys to Grey's Lake where we played in the sand.  Well I was able to sit in the sun, while Doug and Camber dug in the sand.  Camber didn't love getting all dirty, but he did love filling up his dump truck and pushing it around.

We ended Sunday with getting a bike trailer, and going to get some ice cream to celebrate our first little ride.
Whew-we are exhausted!

And now ready for a fun-filled week: starting right now with a trip to the ZOO!

Loves books-especially ones about trucks!

Being a silly, goofy kid!

Wagon ride!
